Aldi is selling 2-in-1 gin and wine – and it’s MORE boozy than normal bottles of the spirit

GIN and wine fans no longer have to choose between the two tipples as Aldi has launched a 2-in-1 spirit made using white wine grapes.
A bottle of the new Sorgin costs £24.99 - and with an ABV of 43 per cent it's much boozier than regular gin.
A typical bottle of gin has an ABV of 37.5 per cent as that is the minimum alcohol strength required in the UK, so the gin wine is much stronger.
But it's not quite as strong as super Navy Strength gin, which usually has an ABV of up to 57 per cent.
It's made in small batches by French winemaking experts who use Sauvignon Blanc grapes in the gin-making process to create the unusual spirit.
The grapes are distilled alongside juniper and normal gin botanicals as part of its creation.

The 70cl bottles are only on sale at Aldi so you'll need to head to your nearest branch if you want to try the tipple.
We haven't had a chance to try it yet, but we're intrigued by the quirky combination.
It's best served with tonic like regular gin or your favourite mixer.
But as always, take care to drink responsibly.
The botanicals used to make the spirit include lemon, lime, grapefruit, violet and blackcurrant buds, which its creators said gives the gin "an expression like no other and great freshness".
