A clip from the discussion between the pair was posted on Facebook by the website , with Mr Corbyn leaning nonchalantly against the wall.

The MC explained to the 67-year-old why young people don’t vote ahead of the June 8 election, admitting he himself had never cast a ballot.

He also took over Mr Corbyn’s Snapchat yesterday to urge more potential voters to register, later tweeting: "Remember, don't just vote for someone in recommendation. Do your own research. But make sure you register."

In the video Mr Corbyn tells JME – real name Jamie Adenuga – that “political change doesn’t always come from politicians”.

It comes after a website was set up at , which offers people the chance to win tickets to a secret event if they register to vote.

Mr Corbyn also has the support of fellow grim artists STormzy, who said last year he “digs what he says”.

And today he was also endorsed by viral star the Chicken Connoisseur, who said in an interview that he’s “one of the few people who makes sense”.

A crowd of around 3,000 people packed a courtyard, road and parts of a park opposite Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, 20 minutes before Mr Corbyn was due to arrive.

Earlier, so many people turned out to see Mr Corbyn at an event in Hebden Bridge, the Labour leader made his stump speech twice - once, as planned, in a crammed town hall room and again from a balcony outside.
