Your Instagram feed order is changing AGAIN – here’s what you need to know
The Facebook-owned social media app can't make up its mind about how your Instagram feed should work

INSTAGRAM is changing the way your feed works again, moving back towards a system that prioritises recent posts.
Photos used to show up in the order they were posted, but this was stopped around two years ago. Now it's back – sort of.
When Instagram first launched, the post at the top of your feed was the most recent photo uploaded from all of your followers.
In June 2016, Instagram switched to using an algorithm to work out which posts you'd most like to see, and pushed those further up your feed.
This led to an outcry from users who complained that they weren't seeing recent posts any more.
Now Instagram is moving to a system that once again prioritises new posts.
"Based on your feedback, we're... making changes to ensure that newer posts are more likely to appear first in feed," Instagram explained.
"With these changes, your feed will feel more fresh.
However, an Instagram spokesperson confirmed to The Sun that this is "not a return to chronological feed".
Newer posts are more likely to appear first in your feed, but Instagram says you "won't miss the moments you care about".
"So if your best friend shares a selfie from her vacation in Australia, it will be waiting for you when you wake up," a company blog post said.
The new changes aren't optional, either.
Instagram told us: "The changes to feed will be rolled out across Instagram in response to feedback from community members."
The feed order isn't the only change Instagram is making, however.
You know when your feed refreshes and automatically bumps you to the top? That's annoying.
So the Facebook-owned app is now testing a 'New Posts' button that lets you choose when you want to refresh, rather than it happening automatically.

"Tap the button and you'll be taken to new posts at the top of the feed," Instagram explained.
"Don't tap, and you'll stay where you are.
"We hope this makes browsing Instagram much more enjoyable."
