Fuming Masterchef viewers launch into four-letter rant as they slam Nikka over dish choice
A MASTERCHEF UK contestant has been slammed after their choice of dish left fans less than impressed.
Contestant Nikka, 27, opted to make some raspberry and lemon cupcakes filled with raspberry jam and topped with flaked almonds.

The cupcakes were beautifully presented with mascarpone frosting and served with a caramel syrup and lemon rind, but viewers were baffled.
As she served up her sweet treat to the MasterChef judges, the neonatal nurse came under fire from show viewers for her “simple” choice of dish.
One person wrote: “Imagine going on MasterChef and giving G & J a cupcake,” followed by a confused face emoji.
Another added: “A cupcake on Masterchef,” with two embarrassed emojis, and a third penned: “Cupcakes on MasterChef?! F*** off.”

Despite some questioning Nikka’s food choice, the judges seemed to enjoy the cupcakes.
John Torode said: “I like your sweet raspberry jam in the middle of it. It’s sharp with raspberries and a little bit of lemon.
“It’s a good cupcake. I have learnt one thing about you in this round and it’s that you have a sweet tooth.”
Gregg Wallace also gave his feedback, saying: “Your cupcake is a little dense, however I’ll forgive you. I’m impressed with people that bake, well done for having this recipe at the top of your head, it’s obviously something you’ve done a lot, and it’s yummy.”

Nikka seemed delighted with the news, as she said to the cameras after the taste test: “Seeing John and Greg smiling at me after they’d had my cupcakes was such an amazing feeling to have.
“I’m glad they liked it, so fingers crossed.”
It comes just days after viewers ripped into a contestant for “not doing any cooking.”
During the episode, judges Greg Wallace and John Torode introduced guest judge and food critic Leyla Kazim.
As the hopefuls got cooking, the trio were left bemused by Mirel's dish he was preparing.
The 34-year-old Londoner revealed he was cooking a clear vegetable soup with beetroot, orange, red chicory and some bitter melon.
Later in the episode he could be seen making a stuffed cabbage roll, cooking it in a broth which had beetroot.
Inside the roll was a mixture of rice and mushrooms along with spices and herbs.
However, viewers at home took to social media to rip into Mirel for "not doing any cooking".
One said: "Mirel is not a fan of the cooking part."
A second said: "He's not done much cooking again."

"Not a lot of cooking going on, Mr Wallace? It was an inspired creation," said a third.
While a fourth commented: "Mirel got booted off because he didn't do any cooking."
