The worst outfits you can wear on a date according to men & the ‘sexiest’ dress that will guarantee seeing them again
WOMEN have been asking men what outfits they really find hottest on first dates - and men have not held back.
A thread was started asking guys to state their opinion on women’s clothes and also on whether hair should be worn up or down.
After taking advice in the comments, the single woman returned to the post and called the guidance “extremely effective” and said her date had gone well.
Men were quick to share their opinions on the best date attire, with many saying a “pretty dress” is their favourite outfit, depending on the activity.
One wrote: “Depends on the season of course. In summer I'm always gonna love sundresses.”
A second added: “Wear whatever you feel good in but don’t overdo it. Dress for the occasion.”

A third shared: “If we're going to a fine dining restaurant, I will be dressed appropriately and I would expect she comes dressed as well. If we are going hiking, maybe a gown and 6 inch heels isn't very smart.”
One person said their favourite thing is a “red short skirt” and one stated they like an outfit that is “revealing but not trashy.”
Lots advised to keep “war paint to a minimum” and to wear clothes that are “clean and well-fitting.”
Many people advised to “match the vibe” of the guy, and if he is laidback it is better to wear an outfit that is less formal.

When it came to hair styles, one person said: “As a man I like women with longer hair down.”
A second agreed: “Hair down is always nicer than up.”
Another added: “I’m always a sucker for curly hair down and straight hair up.”
Dating professionals have also weighed in on the debate.
Speaking on behalf of , dating expert Jacob Lucas told Fabulous: "For most men and myself and people I’ve spoken to, there are three main things to consider.
"The first thing is to wear something feminine, well-fitted clothes and to wear something classy, but not something formal; otherwise, it might look a bit intense.
“A dress always works. You want to show off a little bit of leg, but not something too short as it might come across as you're oversexualising yourself, but you do want to show off your leg a little bit. When you’re in doubt about what to wear in colour for a dress, a little black dress is always a winner. I feel like most men find that attractive.
“If dresses aren’t your thing and you prefer wearing trousers or jeans, wear ones that compliment your figure. You can get really nice trousers or jeans that are feminine, which is what you should go for if you don’t like dresses.
"If you’re planning to wear a jacket, something that always looks good is camel-looking coats; they’re usually a winner, and I’ve never seen it look bad. It looks clean and classy.
"When it comes to shoes, men like heels and they like knee-high boots. They are both feminine and look good - every guy I’ve spoken to says they like those things."
Jacob also advised women only wear two pieces of jewellery, such as a necklace and earrings, as "anything more than that can come across like you're trying too much and be intense."
He added: "You want the jewellery to be noticeable but not over the top, so avoid things like big hooped earrings."
Meanwhile, with make-up, the dating expert advised to not go "over the top".

He added: “If you wear the colour red, especially in lipstick, most guys find it attractive.
"Most men have a preference to wear their hair down as that’s what most guys like."
