IT’S the nation’s favourite summer drink – and now Asda has taken the faff out of preparing a glass of Pimm’s.
Traditionally, the gin-based beverage is served with lemonade and loads of fruity garnish.
But it’s the garnish – we’re talking strawberries, apple, orange, lemon, cucumber and mint – that makes it quite costly and time-consuming to create.
Now, the supermarket has launched a frozen packet of Pimm’s-perfect fruit and herbs, so all you need to do is add the boozer and mixer.
Each bag of the Frozen for Freshness Summer Cup Mix costs £1.75 – but it’s actually on offer at the moment for £1.60.
Asda's frozen fruit product manager Sarah Sharples said: "When it comes to summer, our customers want products that allow them time to soak-up the sun as much as possible, so our new Frozen Summer Cup Mix is the perfect solution for the season.

How can I make the perfect jug of Pimm's?
While many pubs and bars serve the popular summer beverage, not all of them get the mix just right.
Here’s the recipe for the perfect traditional Pimm’s:
- Take a jug (for several cups) or a glass and add as much ice as you like.
- Pour one part Pimm's No. 1 with three parts of carbonated lemonade over the ice.
- Add mint leaves, slices of cucumber, orange slices and strawberries and serve.
