THIS is the video which allegedly shows the ghost of a medieval monk floating through a cathedral whilst screaming "I'm here."

Ghost-hunter Mark Vernon, 50, filmed the spectral spectacle at Wakefield Cathedral in West Yorkshire, before uploading the video to YouTube on Wednesday.

The paranormal investigator claims that the "ghost" he caught on camera is a 12th-century monk called Father Daniel, who allegedly screamed as he drifted through the cathedral.

The footage shows a few suspicious sightings, which appear as dark shadows making their way past the camera.

Mr Vernon said: "I was investigating it for 40 minutes - I caught a ghost, a shadow man, walking past my camera in broad daylight.

"If you listen carefully when it appears, I do believe he says "I'm here". He has a bit of a saucy mouth I'm afraid."

Mr Vernon has spent the last 35 years searching for evidence of paranormal activity, and he claims that a team of ghosts helps him with his investigations.

Apparently, it was his spectral sidekicks who tipped him off that the screaming spirit in his video is a monk who was based in the cathedral during the 1100s.

And the paranormal investigator is certain that there are more ghosts lurking in the majestic, Grade 1 listed cathedral.

To prove his hunch, Mr Vernon, who is single, aims to spend a night in the haunted building to capture more ghosts on camera.

He said: "I need to get back in to film it again.

"I will film it again without a shadow of a doubt but I want to be in there myself with the lights out. If it's in there, 100 per cent I will get it on film.

"They have just been doing renovations at the church and I think that stirred things up a little bit."

He claims he is a clairaudient, which means he can hear ghosts talk, and he adds that it was his ghostly friends who tipped him off about the spooky occurrences at the cathedral.

He said: "I have the ability to make things happen when I walk into a room. I get told what is coming."
