EVERYONE loves a cheeky Nando's - but if you're stretched for cash, Lidl has come up with a tasty-looking dupe of one of the restaurant's most popular dishes.

The budget supermarket is selling a Nando's style Piri Piri half chicken - and it's £4.60 cheaper than the popular chain's.

The Sol & Mar meal, which retails at £2.69, will go on sale tomorrow (August 10) as part of Lidl's Iberian-themed week.

The chilled 550g half chicken comes with a deliciously spicy piri piri sauce, with a serving suggestion of rice and coleslaw.

A half chicken from Nando's will set you back £7.30, or £10.70 if you opt for it with two sides.

The Lidl chicken is one of the store's limited edition products, so if you're keen to give it a try you'd better be quick as it's only available while stocks last.

Shoppers reckon it's hard to taste the difference between the budget supermarket's nuggets and the £3.19 pack of nine from the restaurant chain.
