Sainsbury’s early May bank holiday opening times: What time do stores close on May 5?

SAINSBURY'S is a go-to for many in the UK, known for offering top-quality food at great prices.
However, with many stores operating reduced hours over the early May bank holiday - it’s wise to plan ahead.
Sainsbury's has varying opening hours for its superstores compared to its local convenience stores.
Normally, superstores open their doors after 7am and, after a long day, close them at 10pm.
But on May Day, larger stores will be cutting back to 8am-8pm (while Local stores will stay open until 11pm).
You can find your local store's trading hours by visiting stores.sainsburys.co.uk.
Though supermarket shopping hours vary on May 5, you won't have to worry about topping up your tank for early May bank holiday car journeys - as Sainsbury's petrol station opening times are unaffected.
Asda, Shell, Esso, Moto, Welcome Break and Roadchef also have fuelling stations that are open 24 hours a day.
There are several bank holidays to look forward to after the two days off in Easter.
However, bank holidays differ in Scotland and Northern Ireland to England & Wales.
In both Scotland and Northern Ireland, December 1 is an extra day off for St Andrew's Day.
Northern Ireland also gets an extra day off for the anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.
