Vinted app went down with thousands of users unable to log in or send out orders
We explain what to do if your money is not paid out
THOUSANDS of Vinted users were left unable to access the popular reselling app this afternoon.
Over 5,000 users reported issues with the online marketplace on the outage tracker Downdetector.

Frustrated customers took to social media to highlight the issue.
One customer said on X (formerly Twitter): "Is anyone else's Vinted down?"
Another said: "Anyone else's Vinted down and just stuck on the loading screen?"
A third said: "VINTED is down."

A fourth added: "Of course Vinted is down when I need to send parcels."
The majority of issues reported related to the app, although a smaller number of problems related to the Vinted website.
Reports of the outage started at around 2:30pm and were resolved by 3.30pm.
A Vinted spokesperson said: "There was a temporary technical bug for about an hour today, which has been fixed."

Has Vinted gone down before?
It is not the first time the popular online marketplace has had issues with its app.
Back in March, hundreds of customers were left unable to upload items or pictures to the app.
Vinted users reported similar problems back in September, when thousands of users said the app was down.
At the time, users said they were unable to buy and sell items.
The problem peaked with over 3,000 reports of issues.
Another issue was reported last May, when The Sun revealed that sellers were being warned they may face long delays to get cash due to a payment glitch.
The reselling platform previously confirmed its payment provider had been suffering from a tech issue and it was working to rectify it.
The problem related to tech issues with Vinted's third party payment service provider, Mangopay.
How does Vinted work?
VINTED is an app where you can buy and sell second-hand clothes and accessories.
Sellers can list items on the app for free and there are no fees for selling items either.
Instead, buyers pay a buyer protection fee on every transaction, worth between 3% and 8% of the sale price before postage, plus 30p to 80p depending on the item's value.
This fee contributes towards protecting buyers if they have a problem with their order.
Any money you earn as a seller goes into your Vinted Wallet, which you can then withdraw out to your bank account as cash.
How to make money on Vinted
Selling on Vinted can be a great way to make extra cash - especially if you're doing a wardrobe clear-out.
Last month, we revealed how one seller made £400 in four weeks on the platform and her tricks for getting sales.
Meanwhile, another savvy seller earned £2,100 by selling old clothes on the platform.
The easiest way to use Vinted is on the app, although there is a website too.
You'll first need to create a profile.
Once you're set up, you'll be able to upload items you want to sell to your profile.
You'll need pictures of each item and you can add up to 20 photos.
Make sure they're clear and show different angles of the item.
You should take pictures of any imperfections, such as stains or pulled stitching.
It can also help to take a picture of the label, particularly if the item comes from an expensive brand.
The listing should also contain a description of the item, ideally with as many details as possible.
For example, you might want to say if the sizing is slightly off or true to size, and if the item has only been worn a few times.
You will also need to select a category for the item and set a price.
The app will usually show you listings of similar items to give you an idea of how to price it.

Some Vinted users will try to haggle you down on the price, so it's worth bearing this in mind.
Of course, if you're looking to sell quickly then you might want to set the price low to undercut other sellers.
