Fastest Jaguar E-Type in the world which can go from 0-60mph in four seconds and has top speed of 185mph to go under the hammer for £120,000
Expert restoration has seen the 1972 model fully updated and fitted with super-charged engine

THE FASTEST Jaguar E-Type in the world which rockets from 0-60 miles per hour in just four seconds is set to go under the hammer for £120,000.
An expert restoration has seen it fitted with a super-charged engine giving it a top speed of 185 miles per hour almost half a century after it left the factory.
Now the breathtaking motor, which is exempt from road tax as it was made before 1975, is to go under the hammer for an estimated £120,000.
John Polson from auctioneers Bonhams, said: "This example represents the coming together of two worlds.
"You have the classic, eternal lines of the exterior while inside benefiting from everything a modern car has to offer.
"This is a golden opportunity for car-lovers who want to combine easy, modern driving with a classic car style."
Its staggering performance is a result of an expert restoration carried out by world renowned Jag specialists, Beacham Ltd, which fitted the classic car with a 2013 XKR 400bhp super-charged engine.

Beacham also did away with the tape deck and stiff steering wheel, adding power-assisted steering, cruise control, satellite navigation and a stereo system.
The E-Type shocked the motoring world with its elegant lines and incredible speed when it sprang on to the scene in the 1960s.
Its release inspired Enzo Ferrari to declare it the “most beautiful car ever made” while Jeremy Clarkson named it “the car of the 20th century”.
Mr Polson added: "It is hard to convey just how significant in terms of both design and engineering the E-Type was, and still is, in the car world.
"E-Types remain very popular today and are still the byword for motoring elegance, and turn heads everywhere they go.
"I doubt any of today's cars will stand the same test of time that the E-Type has.
"Enzo Ferrari's comments speak for themselves, and they came from one of the most, if not the most, legendary automobile designers and manufacturers of all time."
This 1972 model has covered just 700 miles since the restoration.
The car will be sold in Chichester, West Sussex, on March 23.
