The brain-to-vehicle system will be able to react up to half a second quicker than humans, claim Nissan.

And if the brainwave tech can sense you're unhappy or uncomfortable it'll change the on-board settings to boost your mood.

The IMx Kuro, which previews a new Nissan Leaf-based SUV, will have more power than a 196mph Nissan GT-R.

The next-generation electric engine will have a 373-mile range with the 320kW high-capacity battery producing power to beat the GT-R off the line.

The concept, revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, also features Nissan's advanced ProPILOT system.

This will offer a driverless and manual mode with the steering wheel folding into the dashboard and seats reclining when you hand over control to the computer.

A production version of a IMx Kuro could be on sale by 2022 as Nissan lines up a range of new electric crossovers.

Expect the Qashqai and Juke to be electric when they're refreshed, too, under Nissan's product plans.
