Jilted lover sent naked photo of his ex to her new boyfriend after hacking into her Facebook account

Dale Shipley, 21, hoped pic would derail relationship, but new fella had already seen it

A JILTED lover sent a naked photo of his ex to her new boyfriend after breaking into her Facebook account.

Dale Shipley, 21, hoped the image would prompt the man to reconsider having a relationship with her.

Shipley hoped his ex-girlfriend's new relationship would break down after her sent naked pic of her to her new lover

But Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court heard the woman had already sent the shot to her partner.

Now Shipley has been handed a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work and a two-year restraining order which stops him having any contact with the woman.

Prosecutor Howard Searle told the court the victim became involved in a new relationship after she split up with the defendant.

And she sent her new partner some naked images of herself on the basis they would just be between the two of them.

Mr Searle said: "The images were sent through her Facebook account.

"The defendant had the ability to get into that account.

"He accessed the account and started communicating with her new partner.

"The defendant accepts it was him communicating but he was doing it anonymously. He was doing it to put the man off the relationship.

"At one stage the man said the police might become involved.

"The defendant sent an image of his ex partner completely naked which she had previously sent her new boyfriend.

"The man asked if there were any other images before the messages came to a halt."

The police were informed and the defendant was arrested. The court heard the woman has been affected by the breach of trust and asked for a restraining order to protect her from the defendant.

Shipley, of Yew Tree Avenue, Longton, pleaded guilty to disclosing a sexual photograph without consent with intent to cause distress.

Jason Holt, mitigating, said: "He is to be sentenced for the posting of a single message to a man already in receipt of it."

Judge David Fletcher told Shipley: "You have behaved extremely foolishly. This was clearly out of character for you.

"This has caused clear upset, concern and a great deal of stress for this lady."
