Small aircraft caught fire after failed landing

SIX people have died after a small private aircraft crashed while trying to land at an American airport.
The plane crashed while trying to land at Shannon Airport in Fredericksburg, Virginia, on Friday, CNN has reported.
"It's a small private aircraft that had come in for a landing. It got to the end of the runway. It pulled up, banked to the left and crashed in the trees and caught fire," said Corinne Geller, public relations manager for the state police.

"It attempted to abort the landing and take off again," Sgt. F.L. Tyler of the Virginia State Police told reporters at the scene.
Rescue teams have recovered six bodies from the burnt wreckage.
The cause of the crash is being investigated and the victims' names have not been released.
