Man charged after two killed in high-speed crash with parked cars in seaside town

A man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and run crash which killed two people.
Jodan Hunt, 23, of Hobart Quay, Eastbourne, was charged today with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday at 10am.
The charges relate to a crash which took place on Kings Edwards Parade close to the junction of Bolsover Road in Eastbourne at about 9.34pm on Friday
The victims, a 46-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman, were in a parked Volkswagen Polo when the driver smacked into them at roughly 9.30pm last night.

The motorist crashed into the Volkswagen before smacking into a BMW and an Audi.
Sergeant Dan Pitcher, of the East Sussex Roads Policing Unit, said: "This has been a fast moving investigation into a tragic hit and run collision. Trained officers are working with the families of the deceased, offering support and guidance.
"In addition to this, officers have gathered evidence which has resulted in the driver being arrested, interviewed and subsequently charged.
Sussex Police have asked for witnesses to call 101.
