Widow of murdered cop Andrew Harper and adopted mum of abuse victim will get King’s honours for their fights for justice

THE widow of murdered cop Andrew Harper is made an MBE — one of two women honoured following their fights for justice.
Lissie Harper, 31, battled for Harper’s Law — giving mandatory life sentences to anyone who unlawfully kills emergency service workers.
Hubby Andrew died after he was dragged for a mile behind a car driven by suspected thieves in West Berkshire in 2019.
Paula Hudgell, adoptive mum of abuse victim Tony Hudgell, seven, is “overwhelmed” by her OBE.
She pushed for Tony’s Law which increased the maximum sentence for child abuse to life.
Tony’s birth parents inflicted terrible injuries on him when he was six weeks old, but could soon be out of prison.
