Labour MPs slam David Davis for ‘rugby club’ chat about Diane Abbott — after he said he wouldn’t hug her as he was ‘not blind’
Ms Abbott told the Brexit Secretary to 'f*** off' when he tried to embrace her

A CABINET minister has accused Brexit Secretary David Davis of “rugby club” chat about Labour’s Diane Abbott.
Commons Leader David Lidington said Mr Davis made a “misjudgement” when joking he’d never try to hug Ms Abbott as he’s not “blind”.
The remark came after Miss Abbott told Mr Davis to f*** off following Wednesday night's Brexit vote.
Mr Davis allegedly tried to hug the Shadow Home Secretary in a Commons bar to thank her for voting in favour of the legislation.
Texts leaked to the reveal Mr Davis denies trying to hug her, explaining he is "not blind", and that if he had done so the story would have made a good advert for glasses.
The messages, exchanged between Mr Davis and a Conservative colleague, claimed he merely whispered a thank you in her ear, "hence the 'f*** off'".
Today MPs lined up to slam Mr Davis for the texts.
Shadow Attorney General Shami Chakrabarti said the comments were "silly, sexist and patronising".
She added: "Diane is not someone who would have her hand patted by Donald Trump, David Davis or anyone else."
