Brit woman, 39, plunges to her death from beauty spot on holiday island Majorca

A BRITISH woman has died after plunging from a scenic beauty spot on the holiday hotspot island Majorca.
The 39-year-old was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but tragically died later that night on Monday.
The Brit fell about 60 feet from a lookout point called called Mirador es Jonquet in Palma, Majorca, overlooking the sea.
Old walls, windmills and turrets combined with stunning views making it incredibly popular amongst tourists.
The alarm was raised at around 8.30am on Monday morning.
Local police and paramedics who responded to the emergency call stabilised the woman at the scene before taking her by ambulance to the intensive care unit at Palma’s Son Espases Hospital.

The 39-year-old reportedly died later on the night she was admitted to hospital.
Insiders close to the ongoing probe confirmed they were not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened - and the death was not being treated as suspicious.
Detectives visited the scene and have spoken with witnesses who saw the horrifying tumble to understand what happened.
It was not immediately clear whether the woman was on holiday in Majorca or lived locally.

The spot where the tragedy happened, Mirador es Jonquet in Spanish, is described in travel reviews as a captivating scenic spot that offers visitors stunning vistas and a tranquil atmosphere.

The raised cliff is a popular walking spot among tourists and locals alike.
Back in August, a British tourist died in front of his girlfriend after a 15ft fall at a hotel.
The 28-year-old fell over a wall by the hotel entrance and landed on the ground next to the hotel’s spa pool after a night out partying.
The alarm was raised around 7am on a Saturday morning at the four-star Reverence Mare Hotel in Palmanova near Magaluf.
His partner had to be treated for an anxiety attack later in the day.
And another Brit was found dead in Majorca last October.
The man, in his 60s or 70s, was discovered in just his shorts after and a mask after going diving off the coast.

His body was pulled out of the sea near to the holiday resort of Magaluf, and cops launched an investigation into his death.
A Civil Protection boat made the grim find before recovering his body and taking it to Santa Ponsa Yacht Club.
