SALLY Jones was a British housewife who was killed by a US drone strike after fleeing Britain to Syria to join Isis.

Jones, from Kent, is believed to have used her young son as a human shield to prevent her being targeted by airstrikes. Here is all the info on the woman dubbed "Mrs Terror" and "The White Widow"...

Who was Sally Jones?

Sally Jones was a former punk rocker turned jihadi bride who became known as “Mrs Terror” after marrying Junaid Hussain.

The 50-year-old mum-of-two was originally from Kent but fled to Syria in 2013, taking her son from a previous relationship with her.

Jones, a former guitarist in an all-girl punk band, has another son, 20, who remained in Britain.

It is alleged she was behind a new wave of all-female ISIS cells hellbent on revenge attacks on the West and she was regarded by US officials as a "high priority" for assassination in Syria.

She is believed to have enticed scores of would-be European jihadis to join the self-declared caliphate through her influential recruitment network called the “Raqqa 12”.

The warped mum reportedly used her 12-year-old son, JoJo, as a human shield to protect herself when she ventured outside.

The boy’s British father spoke out over the brain-washing of JoJo with reports that he has been forced to execute prisoners.

It is understood Jones’ husband Junaid Hussain was killed in 2015 on one of the few occasions he risked going out in public without the boy.

Known then as "Umma Hussain al-Britani", Jones was reportedly desperate to flee the area and return to Britain.

But thousands of Brits signed a petition calling on the Government to stop Jones ever returning to the country.

Following her death, never-before-seen exclusive photos show the future jihadi, then in her mid-to-late 20s, smiling as she strokes a cat and smokes a cigarette.

The pictures were taken in the 1990s and show Jones as a blonde wearing a black dress as she relaxes with friends.

A source told The Sun Online she was a pagan around the time and would refer to herself as a witch while ranting about Christians.

How did Sally Jones die?

The CIA reported in October that Sally Jones was killed by a drone strike in Syria in June 2017.

But news of the success was kept quiet on both sides of the Atlantic amid fears her 12-year-old son Jojo may also have been killed.

If he was also killed in the missile strike, it would not have been on purpose.

Sources said the attack would have been aborted if it had been known he was close by.

Jones' ex Darren Dixon - believed to be Jojo's dad - said: "I'm f***ing glad she's dead."

The Sunday Times reported Jones never travelled without her son to ward off assassination bids from the air – with America fearing a huge public backlash if he was killed.

In May it was reported that Alexanda Kotey, one of the so-called Beatles gang of ISIS jihadis, claimed both and her son were killed.

Kotey, a pal of Jihadi John, told ITV they died in an air strike three days after the attack on the Manchester Arena.

US intelligence chiefs said at the time they could not be 100 per cent certain the strike killed Jones as there was no attempt to recover any of her DNA.

Without putting special forces on the ground, it was impossible to have total certainty.

But the Americans insisted they were “confident” she is dead.

Why did Jones rise up the US kill list?

Reports say Jones was one of the most prolific planners of terror attacks.

Jones was claimed to have helped plot the ISIS kidnapping and filmed beheading of a US army veteran, while she was also allegedly involved in the planning of a foiled nightclub shooting.

Her involvement in the terror plots made her a target for US authorities, with claims she and her husband were behind at least a dozen terror plots.

She has separately been accused of planning attacks across three continents – including a one against the Queen in London during VJ Day celebrations in 2015.

Jones also published more than 1,300 names of US personnel - many of whom were serving at UK air bases - that her husband had hacked.

Who was Sally Jones' husband?

Jones' husband was killed in a US drone attack, after reports he left an ISIS stronghold in Raqqa without their 11-year-old child.

Junaid Hussain died in August 2015, with the extent of his involvement in planning terror plots coming to light.

A court in the US heard Hussain used social media messages to convince people to get involved in terror plots.

One such plan was described as “one of the most significant plots by ISIS to perform a homeland attack”.
