Nursery paedophile set to move to cushy open jail despite being turned down for parole
The 47-year-old was convinced she would walk free after ending her minimum seven-year term in December

NURSERY paedophile Vanessa George is set to move to a cushy open jail, despite being turned down for parole.
The 47-year-old was convinced she would walk free after ending her minimum seven-year term in December.
But The Sun can reveal a Parole Board panel has decided the mum of two is still a danger to the public.
They recommended she go to an open jail. She will not be considered for release again until at least 2019.
Last night a source said: “Vanessa is gutted. She’d pinned all her hopes on getting out. It’s a bitter blow.”

The move for George, currently at high-security Bronzefield women’s prison in Ashford, Middx, has to be rubber-stamped by Prison Service chiefs, but they rarely block transfers.
George, who abused and photographed tots at a Plymouth nursery, admitted 13 sexual assault charges.
The judge, Mr Justice Royce, ordered an “indeterminate” sentence in 2009, meaning she would only be released when the Parole Board gave the green light.

“In fact you may have been doing unspeakable things to that child.
“Many of the parents still have to live with that uncertainty and distress.”
A Parole Board spokesman said: “A panel recommended her transfer to open conditions. The final decision rests with the Ministry of Justice.”
