Ex-Labour MP Simon Danczuk reports his rape accuser to police, claiming he is a victim of election smear tactics
Danczuk is campaigning for re-election in Rochdale as an independent candidate

EX-LABOUR MP Simon Danczuk has reported his rape accuser to police, claiming he was a victim of election smear tactics.
Mr Danczuk, standing as an independent on Thursday, gave a statement on Friday to cops in his Rochdale constituency, calling the woman’s allegation malicious.
He was told on Wednesday, after a Met probe, that he will not face action over the alleged incident in Westminster last summer.
Last night, he said political opponents were “stooping really low by having false rape allegations made against me”.
He added: “I’m pleased the Met dismissed the claims.
"It’s now right that they investigate wasting police time.”
Mr Danczuk was banned from standing as a Labour MP.
It followed him sexting a girl of 17.
