More than 15 people who lived in or near Grenfell tower took a trip to the coast to enjoy a speedboat ride and a day at the beach, organised by charity Play Association and the Felpham Sailing Club.

Three-year-old Romaysa described it as "the best day ever" - her family have not been allowed back in their home near the tower since the fire.

Mum Nabila told Sky News: "Breathing the air…it's something different. We're really grateful, we're so honoured to have this moment of a day and to see them smiling and say 'it was the best day!'"

She said the aftermath of the fire had been difficult for the family - and the community - to deal with.

"It was terrible. The crying, the emotions, not sleeping well, it was so sad and whenever you sleep you just think of it."

Pop star Adele recently hosted a film night for victims of the blaze - offering up an exclusive screening of Dispicable me 3 for affected children.

And in north Devon, Angie Mays and her friend Kay Gilbert have set up the , matching donated holidays to those affected and wanting a break.

"It's just been amazing," she said.

"We've got over 400 holidays. We've had messages from Australia, New Zealand, people offering their places."

Meanwhile, the chair running the inquiry into the fire has received hundreds of suggestions for what to include in his probe.

But Sir Martin Moore Bick has been heavily criticised by the residents living in West London - because all of his top team are white.

All of those who were affected by the fire have been offered up temporary accommodation, but just a handful have taken it.

Ministers admitted before the summer break that it could take up to a YEAR to rehouse everyone permanently.

It has also been revealed that nearly 2,000 houses in Kensington and Chelsea are lying EMPTY - as officials struggle to find homes for everyone who was affected.
