IT WAS panda-monium at Chimelong Safari park in China as baby giant panda Long Zai made its first public appearance yesterday.
Mum Long Long made sure he didn’t get up to any mischief by lifting the adorable cub by the scruff of the neck.
But she was later seen giving her baby a cuddle in front of the crowds in Guangzhou province.
Little Long Zai – who only weights 3 kilos – was born last month and zookeepers say he is “growing well”.
There are only 2,000 wild giant pandas living in China with around 300 in captivity.
