MISSING flight MH370 could have been brought down by a stowaway hijacker, aviation experts have sensationally claimed.

The doomed Malaysian Airlines jet vanished on March 8, 2014, en route from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Beijing, China, with 239 people on board.

And despite millions being spent on the investigation into the disappearance, the plane has never been found.

One of the theories is that the flight was taken over by one or more hijackers who intentionally plunged the aircraft into the Indian Ocean.

Aviation security expert Tim Termini told Channel 5’s Flight programme that a stowaway is one of the possible hijacking scenarios.

He said: “I think it’s highly likely that a hijack took place – and again, there’s four options for the hijack.

“One is the hijack of the aircraft through a crew member.

“The second is a hijack coming from a passenger.

“A third option, which is a fairly unusual one, would be a stowaway.

I think a stowaway is a strong possibility

“And then of course the fourth option is an electrical takeover of the aircraft from a ground-based station.”

If a stowaway was the perpetrator of the greatest aviation mystery of all time, it would mean the hijacker could be intractable.

Fellow aviation expert Philip Baum said this possibility must be thoroughly investigated.

Professor Baum, of academic journal Aviation Security International, told the last year: “I think a stowaway is a strong possibility.”

“No officials seem to want to even contemplate the possibility of a stowaway being on board.”

He said that one or more people could have hid in the underfloor bay behind the flight deck while the plane was grounded.

This week, a migrant fell 3,500 feet into a garden in South London after sneaking onto a Kenya Airways plane.

AVIATION MYSTERY

He plunged to his death when the jet opened its landing gear bay as it approached Heathrow Airport.

Meanwhile, another MH370 theory is the pilot of the doomed flight deliberately killed the passengers in a horrific murder-suicide.

This week, experts from the Independent Group claimed that "troubled and lonely" Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah soared to 40,000ft so his aircraft would depressurise and the passengers would slowly die of suffocation before he crashed it into the sea.

The group is made up of dedicated aviation sleuths and experts whose sole mission is to find out what happened to the doomed flight.

Members were even called into the help in the official search for the plane, which went missing on March 8, 2014.

They claim Shah steered the Boeing 777 off course before either waiting for the jet to run out of fuel or even deliberately nose-diving it into the water so it disintegrated on impact.

The new claims are revealed in by respected aviation expert William Langewiesche.

He suggests the most likely theory is that Shah either killed or incapacitated his co-pilot before depressurising the cabin to slowly kill everyone on board.

Electrical engineer Mike Exner - a member of the IG - believes Shah also made a steep climb to 40,000ft before the murder-suicide.

Climbing rapidly would have accelerated the depressurising process, he reveals.

"An intentional depressurisation would have been an obvious way - and probably the only way - to subdue a potentially unruly cabin in an airplane that was going to remain in flight for hours to come," adds Mr Langewiesche.

"In the cabin, the effect would have gone unnoticed but for the sudden appearance of the drop-down oxygen masks and perhaps the cabin crew's use of the few portable units of similar design.

"None of those cabin masks was intended for more than about 15 minutes of use during emergency descents to altitudes below 13,000 feet; they would have been of no value at all cruising at 40,000 feet.

"The cabin occupants would have become incapacitated within a couple of minutes, lost consciousness, and gently died without any choking or gasping for air."
