Meghan Markle should have ‘shut up’ in royal life, blasts Tina Brown who blames key character flaw for Netflix failure

MEGHAN Markle was “too damn impatient” and fumbled having a “splendid royal real estate”, according to Tina Brown.
The ex Vanity Fair founder has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex, 43, was naïve to gamble royal life for her Netflix deal.
Speaking of Meghan and Prince Harry ditching royal life in 2020, Tina said: “All Meghan had to do was shut up and wait. Go quiet for a couple of years, start a family, keep her eyes trained on the splendid royal real estate that would soon come up for grabs…
“The moment William ascended to his role as Prince of Wales, there would have been new global gigs and red carpet roll-outs raining down on the Sussexes’ heads. But no.
“Offered the Commonwealth or Netflix, the Sussexes, with naïve avarice, chose Netflix.”
This comes as mum-of-two Meghan’s new cooking show - With Love, Meghan - has been released on the streaming giant - and has also been renewed for a second season.

The eight-part series showed the duchess preparing food and home treats with celeb pals, including Mindy Kaling and make-up artist Daniel Martin.
Tina did not hold back with criticism of the show on her Fresh Hell newsletter.
The former editor wrote: “Meghan has come out with a show about fake perfection just when the zeitgeist has turned raucously against it.”
She argued that “Trump’s America” is a “foulmouthed and disheveled cultural place.”

The founding editor in chief of The Daily Beast also claimed Meghan has an “unerring instinct for getting it wrong” and instead she should have made a show about “what a flaming flop the last five years have been.”
Tina also touched upon Meghan announcing the launch of her lifestyle brand, As Ever - previously called American Riviera Orchard - in tandem with the show.
She continued that Meghan is “too damn impatient”, and said: “Who announces a new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and hounds celebrity friends to talk up her strawberry jam on social media, without doing due diligence on the availability of the trademark?”

With Love, Meghan is the second Netflix collaboration for the Sussexes, who signed their lucrative deal with the streaming giant back in 2020.
It has been met with a mixed response from fans.
One gushed on Instagram: “Meghan’s Netflix show is hands down one of the best series out there right now.
“It’s refreshing, beautifully curated, and full of heart.”
However, another added: “Not relatable content.”
Meg's new show
Throughout the series, Meghan shared a variety of recipes, including a cooked breakfast, skillet spaghetti and a honey and lemon cake.
She also demonstrated her method for making tea by steeping bags in cold water under the sun for two to three hours, using "nice silk bags, lots of leaf tea, and just let it steep with the warmth of the sun."

Meghan Markle's Netflix show is renewed for a 2nd season
NETFLIX is making a second series of With Love Meghan - and have announced the surprise decision just after the first season debuted.
The huge interest in the programme, which features Meghan with cameos from husband Prince Harry, has convinced bosses to give it another outing.
The duchess posted on Instagram saying she's "thrilled" with the decision.
Wearing a Netflix cap she was seen grinning in a short clip on her stories, with the caption: "Lettuce romaine calm... or not(!) because I'm thrilled to share that Season 2 of 'With Love, Meghan' is coming!"
A TV insider said: "This may raise a few eyebrows but one thing which Netflix love is controversy - and this show certainly created alot of debate.
"Many were so scathing about the eight-part series that they thought there was no way it would get another season.
"But it seems the streamer is delighted with the chatter its created on both sides of the Atlantic this week."
It's not clear whether work has already started on the second series, but Netflix want it to drop later this year.
