Man Utd wonderkid finally returns to line-up for Copenhagen clash after injury layoff as fans gush ‘this is fantastic’
KOBBIE MAINOO has finally returned to the Manchester United line-up after his injury layoff.
The wonderkid started for the Red Devils' under-19s against Copenhagen in the Uefa Youth League on Tuesday.
Mainoo made his first appearance since suffering an ankle injury on the club's USA tour back in July.
He played 45 minutes before being replaced by Jayce Fitzgerald at half-time.
Reacting to Mainoo's inclusion in the starting line-up, one United fan commented: "Kobbie is back finally!"
Another added: "Lovely, this is fantastic."

Meanwhile, a third supporter also wrote: "Mainoo back in the squad, nice!"
The 18-year-old midfielder had impressed in pre-season before suffering an injury setback.
He returned to training earlier this month, with footage from Carrington exciting United fans.
Mainoo had been caught on camera showing off an outrageous piece of skill during one session as he stepped up his comeback.

Erik ten Hag handed the England youth international his senior debut in January and Mainoo currently has three first-team appearances to his name.
His inclusion in the Youth League could not inspire United to victory, though, with Copenhagen snatching a 1-0 win thanks to Queyrell Tchicamboud's 84th minute goal.
The United first team will hope for better luck when they welcome the Danish champions to Old Trafford tonight.
Ten Hag's side are still hoping for their first group stage points in this season's Champions League.
Defeats to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray have left the three-time winners bottom of group A going into matchday three.
