Derek Chisora vs Otto Wallin LIVE RESULTS: Chisora STUNS in career-best performance to set up fairy tale IBF title shot

DEREK CHISORA put on an incredible career-best performance to topple Otto Wallin and triumph in his final fight on UK soil!

The stunning unanimous points win in his 49th bout now sets up a fairy tale IBF world heavyweight title fight in his 50th and final bout, which he hoped to take place in Africa.

Chisora dropped Wallin in the ninth and 12th rounds en route to the incredible victory, despite suffering a HUGE cut above his right eye after an accidental clash of heads in the fifth.

On what was a thrilling undercard, Sofiane Khati stunned Nathan Heaney with a seventh-round stoppage.

  • Fans first

“Manchester has been beautiful. I thought [Wallin] was gonna gas out," Chisora said after last night's victory.

“When I arrived I said I wasn’t going to cry, but I bawled like a baby.

“I love the sport, I love the fans. It was a very emotional day.

“It was a hard fight. Both of my ears have popped, I didn’t tell my trainers.”

    “It was tough.”

  • Final flurry

How Wally Downes Jr saw the final stages of the fight ringside in Manchester:

Wallin looked to be gun shy, off the back of his 2023 knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. In round ten, when Chisora was shattered and resting in the corner, Wallin still rejected the chance to unload.

But by the eleventh both sides of his face were caked in blood with a second cut opening up under his left eye.

Chisora kept hurling shots and with just ten seconds left Wallin was decked again and the bell saved him from any more savagery.

  • Well-deserved meal

Derek Chisora broke bread with Otto Wallin with his traditional post-fight Five Guys burger following their 12-round scrap.

Chisora spoke with Wallin and the Swede’s family as they chewed the details over their fight.

  • Post-boxing political run?

Chisora is already turning his attention to what he'll do after he finally brings the curtain down on his fighting days.

And Del Boy has sensational plans to run for political office after his retirement.

During an appearance on , he said: "When I retire, do you know what I want to do?

"I want to run for London Mayor."

  • Delboy names three potential opponents

  • Was anything on the line last night?

    • This bout was an official eliminator for the IBF world heavyweight title.
    • Chisora secured the No 2 spot in the rankings and therefore became the highest-ranked IBF contender.
    • The current holder of the IBF title is Daniel Dubois - who faces Joseph Parker on February 22.
  • Bellew on Chisora

Tony Bellew is among the many Derek Chisora well-wishers after his incredible win tonight.

Bellew saying Chisora now deserves a huge 50th bow out.

  • Ringside report from Wally Downes Jr

Derek Chisora teed up his 50th and final fight with a trademark bloody win over Otto Wallin.

The 41-year-old fans’ favourite dropped the Swedish southpaw in the ninth and last round but was slashed around both eyes and soaked in his own blood - just how he likes it.

The victory leaves him free to arrange a final swansong so grateful fans no longer have to watch his incredible bravery.

The judges at the new Co-Op Live arena in Manchester called it: 117-109, 114-112 and 116-110.

Chisora surprised us all, as usual, by starting in the southpaw stance as he tried to bob and weave his way into range and throw haymakers.

  • Proud dad

Derek and Emily are proud parents to two beautiful daughters, Angelina and Harare.

The couple has kept details about their children extremely private, choosing to shield them from the public eye.

Harare’s name pays tribute to Derek’s Zimbabwean heritage, as she shares a name with the country’s capital - where he was born and lived in his early years.

Speaking about being a dad, Derek said: “Being a dad to two girls is scarier than fighting the heavyweights I have.

“You want them to grow up to be nice ladies, so you have to be so careful with everything.

“It means I just have to be the perfect dad.

“Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Tyson Fury, they don’t scare me.

“Boxing really doesn’t scare me — the two girls do!

“I painted the house pink but my youngest does her own painting around the house.

“She turned three just the other day.

“And she celebrated by drawing in green all over my bedroom wall!”

  • Has Derek Chisora had a successful career?

The short answer is yes - Chisora has gone toe to toe with most of the best fighters the heavyweight division has to offer.

Never one to duck a fight, the only name missing from his stellar resume is Anthony Joshua.

A former British, European and Commonwealth champion, Chisora has twice fought for a world title.

He has faced - and lost - three times to Tyson Fury, their latest meeting a world title bout at Tottenham Hostpur.

Chisora had first fought for a world title in 2012, when he lost a tough unanimous decision to Vitali Klitschko.

He was also involved in famous feuds with David Haye and Dillian Whyte.

Chisora was knocked out in the fifth round at West Ham's old stadium, Upton Park, by Haye.

His brutal 2018 rematch with Whyte is considered one of the best heavyweight fights of all-time.

Chisora also gave heavyweight king Oleksandr Usyk - in his first fight in boxing's top division - a torrid team before eventually losing via unanimous decision.

Two of the judges had Del Boy winning five rounds in that battle.

He also fought two narrow defeats to Joseph Parker in 2021.

Going into his penultimate fight, Chisora has a record of 35-13-0.

  • Chisora reveals ears popped

Derek Chisora reveals his ears popped early in the fight, but he bit on his gumshield and continued the fight.

Speaking in the ring after the fight, Chisora said: “That was beautiful. I thought he would gas out but he carried on.

“I said I wasn’t going to cry but I did.

“I was in tears because I love this sport and these fans.

“It’s been a very emotional day. It was a hard fight.

“I got the cut and my ears popped but I bit down on my gumshield and did what I had to do.

“I let the fans decide my legacy.”

  • Emotional night for Del Boy

Chisora broke down in tears live on TV after arriving for his last-ever fight in the UK last night.

The 41-year-old went on to beat Otto Wallin by unanimous decision in what was his 49th career battle.

Chisora previously declared he would call it a day after 50 fights.

His final showdown will take place abroad, with a shot at Daniel Dubois's IBF world title now firmly in his sights.

Chisora's win over Wallin has secured his status as mandatory challenger for Triple D's strap.

But Dubois is just one of the potential opponents in the frame for Chisora’s grand finale.

Del Boy has previously said he wants to fight Dillian Whyte or Francis Ngannou in his 50th fight before retirement.
