Elsewhere, the Gunners have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane as North London rivals Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign the German.

  • Alexander Isak prediction

Newcastle legend Alan Shearer is convinced Arsenal target Alexander Isak will not leave St James' Park this summer.

Got to keep him and they will, I’m pretty certain of that.

Because of their success this year, because they’ve got Champions League football, all of those things.

There’s not a worry in my mind that he’s going anywhere.

The goalkeeper admitting he is "calm" about the transfer speculation.

In the end, football, all the time, there is news is coming out, things are coming out. Until it becomes reality… it’s not always like that.

But well, I’m telling you, I’m very calm and then whatever has to be decided, I’m sure I’ll think about it a lot with my people and choose what will be best for me… and it will no doubt be like that.

  • Ollie Watkins hope

Aston Villa will accept offers for Ollie Watkins this summer following Arsenal's recent interest.

The Gunners made an offer to Villa for Watkins last January but saw it turned down.

But former scout Mick Brown claims the North Londoners may have more hope this summer if they were to renew their interest in the striker.

Aston Villa will look to sell Watkins this summer. They know he’s a player who has attracted a lot of interest and clubs will be willing to pay for.

Looking at their financial situation, they feel they’re going to have to sell players to help balance the books and avoid any sort of punishment.

Arsenal tried to sign Watkins in January and that interest hasn’t gone away.

Villa paid around £30million for him, and he’s been worth far more than that to them with what he’s achieved since he’s come in.

Now, they believe they can make a profit on him if clubs come in with offers.

It’s not their fault but it’s the situation they’re in, and he is seen as a sellable asset.
