A fantastic week for Gavin Cromwell, capped off with this remarkable Gold Cup win.

But he admitted he's not sure if Inothewayurthinkin will head for the Grand National next month.

He told ITV: “I’m speechless, it’s unbelievable. We’ve had great faith in this horse.

“We felt he’d come forward plenty since losing to Galopin Des Champs last time out despite making a mistake.

“I’m just thankful JP allowed us to supplement him.

“I don’t know about the Grand National but we’ll get him home and have a chat. There’s a potential it will happen.”

He's the favourite for the Grand National next month.

And he was a late, supplemented entry for the Gold Cup.

JP McManus coughed up £25,000 to put his horse into the big one.

Blackmore and De Bromhead backed

Plenty of each-way money for Rachael Blackmore's runner Monty's Star.

Henry de Bromhead said: "He is in great form, really coming to himself.

"We think we are getting there and he should come forward again for Leopardstown, but whether he is good enough to beat a horse like Galopin Des Champs we don't know.

"I think the nice ground will suit him. I felt against Fact Or File last year that we wanted better ground than he did and we didn't get it, so I'm hoping it will suit. I think he will run well."
