Lunchtime Nap time!
If only!
This is actually Templegate's BEST BET of the entire day at Cheltenham.
And it's already been well-supported this morning....
Templegate's Nap: STENCIL (4.4) ran a mighty race behind Triumph Hurdle favourite East India Dock here last time and faces nothing of his class today. He kept up a decent pace for a long way and this two-mile trip is ideal.
He likes soft ground and there should be enough juice in it after the taps have been turned on at Prestbury Park. He’s had just four runs and can find plenty of improvement with the excellent James Reveley in the saddle.
More from Nicky
There has been a bit of support for Jango Baie in the Arkle and he's also been put up by SunSport's very own Matt Chapman.
Henderson - who is missing superstar Sir Gino who'd line up here - told that a drop in trip won't trouble his charge and he's been good over fences.
He said: "He was very good on his Chase debut at Cheltenham in December and then was narrowly beaten in a Grade One at Sandown on horrible ground over two and a half, so has done nothing wrong over fences. This was not the original plan, I must admit, but he is more than an able substitute for Sir Gino, who sadly cannot be here.
"The drop-back trip will not be a problem, and Nico will make plenty of use of him to try and get them at it. He’s a very sharp horse who jumps particularly well, and I am very much looking forward to it."
Major injury news
Nicky Henderson has revealed that Palladium - who held a big chance in the Triumph Hurdle - got cast overnight and is now OUT of the Triumph.
While he has the potential to be fit for the Grand National meeting next month, Henderson revealed he'll more than likely head back to the Flat in what is a devastating blow to connections.
He posted on X: "We have had quite a blow this morning when it appears that Palladium had got cast overnight and is quite sore this morning and we really can’t see how he can be fit to run in the JCB Triumph Hurdle.
"This is dreadful news and an unfair shock for the Bamford family as we seriously thought we had an outstanding chance on Friday.
"We are confident he will soon be able to resume training but he will require a few easy days. He would be back in time for Aintree but I think in all probability he will now return to his flat career.
"He is a very good looking and talented young horse with a great temperament and he has a really bright future under both codes."
Lossiemouth certainty?
Plenty of people were disappointed that Lossiemouth didn't line up to take on Constitution Hill and Brighterdaysahead in a blockbuster Champion Hurdle.
Has she taken the easy road out to line up in the Mares' Hurdle? Time will tell.
But Willie Mullins told Sporting Life that Paul Townend's desire to ride her in that race was a big part of their change of heart.
He said: "A lot has happened in the last week in racing, and we decided at the last minute to let Lossiemouth take her chance in the Mares’ Hurdle where Paul indicated he would like to ride her and that was a big part of the decision-making process.
"She comes here off a fall at Leopardstown but hopefully she can put all that behind her and repeat last year’s success."

The 2025 Cheltenham Festival is here.
And bookmaker Betfred are celebrating The Greatest Show on Turf with a blockbuster offer for brand new customers.
A hardy stablemate, though
On Kopek Des Bordes, he goes into the Supreme with the highest Timeform rating of any runner since 2016.
That horse in 2016? The mighty Altior!
Altior was rated 155p prior to his victory in 2016, while Kopek Des Bordes is rated 154P after his Dublin Racing Festival heroics.
Timeform jumps editor Dan Barber said: "Kopek Des Bordes cut the same figure so many Mullins-trained Supreme winners have down the years in dominating the race almost always used as the pre-Festival stepping stone, turning what had looked an open division into something potentially much less so with a striking display at odds with his cumbersome winning start over hurdles, towering above most in terms of physique and all in terms of performance.
"He jumped much better and was still moving very powerfully as he led soon after three out before opening right up in the straight, looking cut from an entirely different cloth to the usual novice."
'Live chance'
It's still pretty remarkable to see Salvator Mundi at such a big price for the Supreme. Mainly due to his stablemate and the expectations put on him.
But Willie Mullins reckons he still has a 'live chance' in the contest given his impressive trial.
He told his blog: "Salvator Mundi is a horse we’ve always thought a lot of.
"He was second to Sir Gino on his first run in France and I don’t think the race was run to suit him in the Sky Bet Moscow Flyer last time and he still won.
"That race is always a great trial for the Supreme, and he must have a live chance."
Countdown is on
But how on earth is it only 11am!? Goodness me.
150 minutes to go until that Roar!
Place to be
Seven races today but for most the biggest of the lot is race eight - the run to get a good spot in the Guinness tent.
Much has been written about the prices each and every year at Cheltenham - here's what punters are faced with this time around.
I've always liked cordial dash; a couple of those please barman!
More from Boyles
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports added: “If Kopek Des Bordes, Majborough and Lossiemouth all oblige, we have that popular four-timer looming large which could all hinge on Constitution Hill in the Champion Hurdle.
"He’s already one of our worst results in the antepost book, so we could very well be watching from behind the sofa by then.
“Unsurprisingly the Irish continue to pile into the Willie Mullins horses, although Henry de Bromhead’s Workahead has been well backed over the past 24 hours to upset his favourite in the opener. That would scupper accas up and down the land and just relieve a bit of pressure on the trading floor.”

Templegate tip
Much has been written about those in the first race and the 'big four' on day one.
But we're looking at the final race, which includes Templegate's second best selection of the day!
And it's been well-backed too and now second favourite in a competitive race...
TRANSMISSION (5.20) looks to be crying out for this test and can give jockey Patrick Mullins his fifth win in this race – even though he’s taking on pro jockeys this time. Neil Mulholland’s eight-year-old had a bit up his sleeve when scoring in a hot handicap here over 3m1f in November.
He then challenged too late when second in December and was kept over hurdles for his prep run. This is his first crack at a real marathon distance and he looks very fairly handicapped.

Grand aim
After a disappointing year since running at Cheltenham last year, Stay Away Fay needs one more run to qualify for the Grand National.
The handicapper looks to have been relatively kind for his run in the Ultima today and could do well at a big price having schooled well.
Nicholls told his blog: "He needs one more run to qualify for the Grand National and a decent show in the Ultima could see him join our team for Aintree.
"But it's fair to say his performances have fallen off a cliff since he ran so well in the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham last season.
"He was pulled up in two subsequent races later that season and again didn't finish on his return over hurdles at Wincanton on Boxing Day. But I'm encouraged that he worked nicely the other day and has been schooling well."

Four-fold thumping
More on the 'big four' today and William Hill are fearing a hammering if all four come in.
Spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, said: “Anticipation is building for the first day of the Cheltenham Festival, and we’re expecting the Kopek Des Bordes, Majborough, Lossiemouth and Constitution Hill four-fold to be incredibly popular.
If those four all go in, it could easily be a seven-figure loss for William Hill and a horrendous start to the week.
“The betting markets are starting to liven up for the first day of the meeting too, and we’ve already seen good money for Workahead in the Supreme."
