Boat Race 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Cambridge humiliate Oxford by completing clean sweep yet AGAIN – updates

THE 170th edition of the Boat Race was all Cambridge as all four teams put a clinical display of rowing on the River Thames.
The first race started in concession as Cambridge women pulled away from the start and never looked back despite a red flag restart in the opening minutes as they extend they make it EIGHT in a row for the Light Blues.
The men would follow up with equal measure as the dominance over Oxford was shown in four fold with wins in the reserve races aswell.

Oxford defiant in defeat
Tom Sharrock insists he's still proud to wear the dark blue of Oxford, despite their third defeat in a row to Cambridge .
He told the BBC: "I will commend Cambridge on their effort.
"They outdid us today, so full credit to them, but I don't feel we've lost today.
"I'm still proud to be from Oxford. I'm still proud to wear dark blue."

Cambridge Boat Club President Luca Ferraro couldn't help but express his delight at winning the Boat Race moments after Cambridge sealed their third-straight victory.
He told the BBC: "It's been a great weekend for Cambridge. Something really special is happening out of our boathouse.
"I am just so proud of all of our teams. It's such a great place to be."

George Bourne likened Cambridge's winning of the Boat Race to a European footie team winning the Champions League.
He told the BBC: "I feel like Andy Murray when he had just won Wimbledon.
"This is our Wimbledon final, our Champions League.
"That's the only way I can describe it - it's like a taste of that and it's awesome."

'Shell-shocked star'
Samantha Morton admits she was left stunned when both team's oars clashed in the second minute of the women's race.
The stroke said: "You prepare for a clash but you never really think it is something that is going to happen.
"You can probably count on two hands how many times it's happened in the history of the Boat Race.
"When it happened I was honestly shell-shocked. I am feeling dazed."

Cambridge cox Jack Nicholas couldn't help but express his delight after guiding the light blues to a third straight win.
He told the BBC: "I was holding a line and Oxford really encroached on that territory. I just held that line and held that line.
"We clashed - that's just racing. And I guess they paid the price. That's how it goes."

Umpire Matthew Pinsent has revealed he was incredibly close to disqualifying Oxford's women after they drifted into their rivals.
He told the BBC: "I was absolutely clear in warning Oxford in the run-up to that," said Pinsent.
"At that moment, with the two crews coming to a standstill, there was no way they were going to carry on racing.
"It crossed my mind [to disqualify Oxford], but you also can allow after a restart to see if it affected the outcome of the race. In my opinion, it did not affect the outcome of that race."

The dark Blues brass are now processing back-to-back embarrassing defeats to their bitter rivals.
Their two new coaches will no doubt have been doing a lot of head scratching during both races.
I can't help but feel like they'll be doing the same thing when their heads hit the pillow later tonight.
George Bourne weighs in
George Bourne has revealed his thoughts on the significant advantage Cambridge established over their rivals
He said: "We had just such a nice press as we came past Fulham Football Club.
"And we were really relaxed and calm. Our cox was doing such a great job.
"And Luca and Douwe were up setting up a great rhythm.
"And you feel yourself start to move away and it's the best feeling in the world."

Cambridge Boat Club president Luca Ferraro was full of praise for his team-mates after the race.
He told the BBC: It's an indescribable feeling crossing the line ahead after so many months of hard work and really hard graft.
"And the guys put in so much.
"I asked a lot of them this year as president, and they fully delivered."

Three-time boat race winner Seb Benzecry couldn't help but break into tears after seeing his team-mates win the race.
He said: "This race is so, so meaningful to the people who take part in it.
"Guys in that boat, Ollie Boyne, Goldie, the President of the Boat Club, to see him win hear to win today is just the most amazing thing.
"It's been a hard season for these guys, it's been a hard season for Cambridge.
"But that performance was the most incredible row I've seen in a Boat Race."

He's repeatedly yelling, "You have to believe" to his compatriots, who are really struggling.
