Manchester City hoping to complete £40m Leroy Sane deal by Wednesday despite strong Bayern Munich competition
Schalke star's representatives locked in talks over big-money switch as Pep Guardiola looks to beat Carlo Ancelotti in race

MANCHESTER CITY want to seal a deal for Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane by tomorrow – but Bayern Munich are holding up the deal.
The German star's representatives have been holding talks with Schalke since yesterday to finalise the £40m move.
Bayern have made a last-ditched attempt to snap-up the 20-year-old – but don't want to sign him until next season.
Schalke have been asked to hold onto the winger until Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery leave at the end of the coming campaign.
Bayern will offer similar money and other incentives including first refusal on players if Schalke block Sane's move to City.
Pep Guardiola was hoping to have the move sealed by tomorrow afternoon.
