Andrew ‘Beef’ Johnston up the steaks on nickname with sensational effort
Bun-loving golfer ate a whopping three burgers and a sandwich in one night while on a recent trip to Manhattan
ANDREW ‘BEEF’ JOHNSTON certainly lived up to his nickname with an impressive eating feat on a recent trip to Manhattan.
The bun-loving golfer shot to fame for his crowd-pleasing antics as he burst into the top 100 following a brilliant showing at Troon in The Open and has earned cult status among fans.
And ‘Beef’ — who is currently participating in the 98th, and his first, USPGA Championship — is enjoying his new-found popularity.
After signing an endorsement deal with Arby’s sandwich shop, he raised the steaks by eating a whopping THREE Manhattan burgers AND a sandwich in one night.
He explained: “I've never actually tried Arby's before I was in Manhattan on Saturday.

“And obviously they come out, asked about the endorsement deal and stuff like that.
“I went in and had a brisket sandwich, and before that, I had basically gone with the Wall Street Journal to eat three different burgers that night to try them out and like review.
“I was really full up. But I nearly ate that whole Arby's sandwich, man, it was good.”
And it is likely the only fruit Beef tried in Manhattan, was the Big Apple.
