CHRISTMAS has come early for gamers as a much-loved post-apocalyptic role-playing title is completely free for a very limited time.

The game is the latest giveaway from the Epic Games Store this Christmas.

It usually costs £15.99.

But you don't have long to get it for free - the offer expires at 4pm UK time.

The game in question is Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition.

For those who haven't already played it, Fallout 3 is set in a retro-futuristic Washington, D.C., where you emerge from your vault in search of your father and the truth.

Fallout 3 was first released by Bethesda back in 2008 and won numerous awards.

The Game of the Year Edition includes all five of the Fallout 3 add-on packs.

However, some bargain hunters were quick to point out that the Epic Games Store's annual giveaway event featured Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition last year.

"I grabbed this deal last year," another wrote.
