FORTNITE is set to undergo a big transformation today, as it enters a 'Myths and Mortals'-themed Chapter 5, Season 2.
Thousands of players are already reporting Fortnite outages, as creator Epic Games undergoes its scheduled downtime.
The downtime has been scheduled to begin at exactly 8:00am GMT (3:00am ET).
Reports are starting to rise on DownDetector following the beginning of the scheduled maintenance.
The game undergoes this process with every big Season update, which occurs roughly every 10 weeks.
So gamers are well rehearsed in downing the controllers for four to six hours at a time - with the promise of rewards after.
Each Seasons introduces new themes, weapons, map locations and more lore into the game's storyline.
Fortnite is expected to be out of action until 1:00pm GMT (8:00am ET).
Should the leaks hold true - fans reckon this Battle Pass will be one of Epic's best.
