But the issue has become increasingly more frequent after Samsung Galaxy S23 users downloaded the One UI 6.1 software on their devices.

It was such a big problem that Samsung was forced to step in and acknowledge the major issue.

The tech giant quickly identified the cause and sent out a temporary fix leaving thousands extremely grateful.

Samsung blamed “compatibility issues with some Google app features” for the issue, in a new post published to the companies Korean Community website.

The main culprit seemed to be Google Discover as it had seemingly triggered the irregular touchscreen behaviour after downloading the new software.

Meaning some Google apps simply aren't optimised properly to deal with the latest Samsung update.

HOW TO FIX IT

Samsung released the following statement detailing how to solve the frustrating touch screen fault.

It says: “You can improve the problem by temporarily updating the Google app to the latest version, deleting the app's data, and then restarting your phone.”

To update the Google app, simply head over to the Google Play Store and find the app by looking it up in the search bar.

Once you've found the app hit the update button as usual.

Then head into your settings and click on the applications tab and find Google.

Go into the storage section and click on the delete data icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.

After all this, restart your phone and you shouldn't face any more annoying frozen screen time.

Although bear in mind Samsung themselves has only called this method a "temporary" fix so you might get issues reappearing later on.

But one positive of the One UI 6.1 update was that users have noticed a much-missed feature has returned to their phones.

Tech giant Samsung has introduced a number of new perks as part of the update that includes some fresh camera upgrades and fascinating AI tools.

But fans have been left most excited by the returning burn-in protection setting.

Screen burn is an all too common issue that causes discolouration or ghost images to appear from elements that are shown frequently, such as a home button.
