Fortnite Championship Series updates: FNCS live event leaderboard revealed as winner of grand finals to be crowned today

THE Fortnite FNCS 2025 Major 1 grand final is heading into the last day of the championship.
The EU and North America Central winners will be crowned today.
The best of Fortnite's players will fight for the chance to qualify for the Fortnite Global Championship 2025 and an eye-watering cash prize.
This year, the FNCS switched from duos to trios with 33 qualified teams from all over the world participating in the finals.
At the conclusion of the two days, the top teams with the highest points will secure a spot at the World Championship which will be held in France in September.

European Champions
Big Vico, XSET Venouk, aight flickzy have been named the champions of the FNCS Major 1 for EU.
They will be progressing onto Global Championship in September, and bagged $180,000 in cash prize.
Malibuca, P1ng, Wox came in second place which means we will also be seeing them at the Globals.
They received slightly less but still an eye-watering amount of $120,000.
Unexpected twist
Vico's team have been sweeping victories but in an unexpected turn, Gripeey's trio bagged the latest win.

What is the prize pool in each region?
With a prize fund of £648,857, Europe has the biggest prize pool for Major 1.
The prize pools for Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania are £71,546, North America Central is £447,243, and North America West and Brazil are £143,102.

How will the winner be determined?
Trios will play six set-lobby matches every day.
Each team's position on the leaderboard will be determined by the total points they have earned during the two days.
Trios receive points according on their placements and eliminations.
In the end, only seven Trios will emerge as the top players in their respective regions.
Major 1 is just the start
Following the same schedule as last year, there will be three Major Finals to fight for the title.
This weekend will conclude the Major 1 of the FNCS but two more are expected to take place later this year.
Major 2 will kick off in April and finish by the end of the same month.
Major 3 will begin in July with the final scheduled to start on August 2, 2025.
What is the FNCS prize pool?
The FNCS prize pool is an eye-watering cash prize for the winner(s) who manage to reach the Major Finals and remain undefeated.
The prize pool for the 2025 FNCS season will be $8 million (almost £6.5million GBP); $1 million more than the previous year.
The Championship format
Credit: epic games Teams had to compete in Divisional Cups for five weeks in order to earn a spot in the Major 1 Group Stage.
After then, they took part in the competition in an attempt to earn a spot in the Grand Finals, which are taking place now.
There was also a Last Chance Qualifier for teams that did not make it to the Group Stage, and all players in Divisions 1, 2, and 3 were eligible to participate.
Who won the FNCS in 2024?
Dominating the game by winning multiple Victory Royales, Peterbot (Peter Kata) and Pollo (Miguel Moreno) made history by winning the Fortnite FNCS 2024 Global Championship.
According to Esports, the young gaming duo took home $400,000, making them the highest-earning Fortnite pros in 2024.
Upon being crowned global champions, Peterbot said: "It means the world to me."
"We knew we were going to win coming into it and now we're the best here in the world."
Peterbot and Pollo were both 17 years old when they won the FNCS 2024.
What is the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS)?
The FNCS is a global competition where Fortnite's best players compete for an impressive prize pool.
Throughout the season, competitors can climb divisions and bag prizes by out performing other players during weekly matches.
Players will have to reach Division 1 to make it to the Play-In stage and eventually the Major Finals in order to be crowned a champion.
What is the prize?
All 33 qualified trios will compete for a share of $2million and a spot at the Fortnite Global Championship 2025.
According to a statement shared on the official Fortnite website: ''Lyon - Décines, France will host the Fortnite Global Championship (formerly “FNCS Global Championship”) 2025 from September 6 to September 7 at the LDLC Arena.''
