Twitter down UPDATES: Thousands of users report issues posting messages on app X after global outage

TWITTER (X) has gone down for thousands with users unable to post messages on the app.
More than 800 customers in the UK have logged complaints on the Downdetector website, which measures outages, this afternoon.
In the US, over 8,000 users have reported issues.
Those affected by the outage have been greeted with the error message, below.

- Reports started coming in at 3.15pm (BST) following a global outage
- At its peak, nearly 8,000 users have reported issues in the US, and more than 800 in the UK
- Most of the issues are related to posting messages on the app
