YouTube down updates: Hundreds of users report videos not loading as they battle to load app

THOUSANDS of users in the US and the UK have reported experiencing issues with accessing the YouTube app and website.
The video platform has crashed for thousands of users who say they are having trouble playing videos.
Users have reported seeing a blank screen instead of videos when logging into the app and website.
Reports received by Downdetector said that some 74 per cent of the users were experiencing issues with accessing the YouTube website.
A small two per cent of users said they could not access the app.
Some 24 per cent of the users reported they were having issues with video streaming on the platform.

Over 7,000 users report outage
Over 5,000 outage reports have now surfaced across the US and some 1,900 in the UK.
Users reveal temporary fix
Some users found a temporary fix by disabling their ad blockers.
One person wrote: “I have a premium but also use Ad Blocker. Turning Ad Blocker off solved the issue for me,” o
Another user added: “Issue seems to be with premium and AdBlock combined.
"Turning off my ad blocker while logged in with premium works.
"Logging into a different account with AdBlock still on works as well. Doesn't make full sense since premium doesn't get ads to begin with.”
Another person wrote: “Been subscribed to YT premium for years now, never realised I had adblock turned on yt. Solved the problem by turning it off.”
Glitches being reported
Users are increasingly experiencing glitches while playing videos on the website.
Users share problems they are facing
One user said that the Youtube's desktop site was not "playing videos reliably, especially livestreams", but added that the app was working fine.
