Ikea is selling an electrical gizmo which looks like it’s called ‘SLUT’
Swedish furniture store has a range of goods which appear to have a shocking name. But there's a very good explanation for the bizarre moniker

IKEA is selling a rather dull electronic transformer which appears to have the name "slut".
But there's a logical reason why the product seems to have this rude-sounding moniker.
The gizmo is actually part of a range called Ansluta, which includes a £7 transformer which can be used to power three lights at a time.
But in a branch of Ikea in Burbank, California, the product's label was allegedly curved around it so that the word "slut" was clearly visible.
Entrepreneur Simon Rockman, who runs , shared a picture of the x-rated plug extension
He claimed the picture showed three slut plugs in the store's returns department, which is often used to get refunds for furniture or pick up spare parts which weren't included in the box.
"In this case the bit which was missing was common sense," he joked.
The naming team at IKEA uses a database of Swedish words to assign names to its new products, although there are some exceptions.
Swivel chairs are given Scandinavian boy's names, for instance, while kitchen accessories such as frying pans are named after fishes and mushrooms.
