The internet reacts Justin Bieber and ex Selena Gomez’s spat – as Beliebers plan social media ‘blackout’

JUSTIN Bieber's fans are planning a social media blackout to teach the singer a lesson.
After the 22-year-old became embroiled in a war of words with ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, some of his 86 million followers are planning on temporarily quitting Twitter.
His army of fans united after one Belieber wrote a now viral meme suggesting the social media movement.
They wrote: “He doesn’t respect us. Let’s do this; Beliebers blackout (24 hours)”
“Don’t’ keep tweeting about Justin and Sofia. Don’t use Twitter for 24 hours.
“Let’s make a beliebers blackout from Twitter 24 hours.
“What does this mean? Don’t publish anything, don’t left any comments on Justin’s photos, don’t tag Justin in anything. Let’s just disappear 24 hours.
“Doing this, we hope Justin realizes that we are truly hurt by the things he told us.”
The drama started on Sunday after Justin threatened to make his Instagram private unless fans stop sending hate to his new girl, Sofia Richie.
He wrote: “I'm gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don't stop the hate this is getting out of hand.
"If you guys are really fans you wouldn't be so mean to people that I like.”

As fans trended #RIPBeliebers, noticing Justin didn’t refer to them by their name like usual, Selena allegedly hit out in the comment section of the post.
She reportedly said: “If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol –it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you. They were there for you before anyone.”
Justin responded: “It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love.
“I’m not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope u all can be kind to my friends and eachother. And yes I love my beliebers.”
Screenshots on social media show Selena added: “Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive.
"No wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love.”
Despite Beliebers efforts, stats show that Justin's Instagram account has grown from 77.7 million followers to 77.8 million since the drama has unfolded.
