Emmerdale fans in tears as they share Moira Barton’s grief … and call for her to reunite with Cain Dingle
Holly's devastated mum desperately hunted for clues about her death in tonight's episode

EMMERDALE viewers were watching tonight's episode from behind their tissues after emotional scenes showing grief-stricken mum Moira's raw emotion following the sudden death of her daughter, Holly.
Blonde Holly (Sophie Powles), who was dating recovering drug addict Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), passed away in last night's dramatic episode which saw her lying motionless in a bed after a sudden drug overdose.
The aftermath of the tragedy was played out tonight as Moria (Natalie Robb) lay her heart on the line and confessed: "I'm so glad I told her I loved her before the wedding."
"At least I will always have that."
She then poured out her feelings to ex lover Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) before blasting him for believing their daughter deserved to die.
Her heartbreaking outburst sparked tears from soap addicts who were glued to their screens, before they then took to Twitter to reveal their sheer emotion and insist she patch things up and get back together with former lover Cain.
One wrote: "#Holly absolutely killing me!! Heartbreaking!!! The acting is fantastic," while another added: "Hits ya right in the feels #Crying #Emotional #I'mAMess."
One hugely teary fan wasn't sure how to react and added: "There are just no words," followed by a host of crying Emojis while one pleaded: "Aww come on @emmerdale 2 nights of tears is too much now!
"Brilliantly done though."
Another simply added: "Emmerdale got me in tears," followed by a crying Emoji while another bluntly posted: "Emmerdale got me," accompanied by a broken heart icon.
Tonight's episode saw Moira desperately hunt for clues about why her daughter died.
Heartstrings were pulled as she clutched a pile of laundry and burst into tears remembering her daughter before she desperately rifled through Holly's old room.
She had a glimmer of hope when she found Holly's passport, before her son Adam (Adam Thomas) played detective to try to find out whether a drug dealer was behind her death.
Yet a broken Moira confessed: "I could have saved her," before adding: "It's my job to keep her safe - and I failed."
During the action-packed show, Adam also let slip that Moria's ex Cain was back together with Charity Dingle.
Later on, a worried Cain visited her and told her: "It's not your fault."
His attempts at reassurance didn't wash well with her and her tears switched to anger as she raged: "Go on, I know you're itching to say it.
"Once a junkie, always a junkie.
"All she ever got from you is 'you are a worthless druggie', she believed you right from the end - did it ever occur to you to protect Holly too?
"We needed you and you weren't there.
"Now she's dead - and you think she deserved it!"
Cain's concerned visit, coupled with Moira's emotional outburst, sparked yet more response from fans on Twitter who called for them to reunite.
One wrote: "Cain and Moira need to be together," followed by a pained Emoji icon while another insisted: "I so want Cain n Moira to get back together."
Meanwhile another rued: "Why oh why is he with charity. Cain and Moira should be together."
The plotline surrounding Holly's death is set to thicken after Adam announced he was hunting for a drug dealer he suspects has played a part, and told his mates: "I'm going to find him, then I'm going to kill him."
