Danny Mac tops Strictly Come Dancing leader board with impressive Argentine Tango… while Ed Balls finds himself at the bottom yet again

DANNY Mac topped the Strictly Come Dancing leader board on Saturday night after wowing the judges with an intense Argentine Tango.
The former Hollyoaks actor scored an impressive 38 points - including two 10s from Len Goodman and Bruno Toniolo - to see off stiff competition from his fellow dancers.
Craig Revel Horwood was initially critical, saying: "It was a little bit too aggressive for my liking but I have to say it was absolutely incredible."
Darcey Bussell added: "It was frantic and busy, but the delivery of the technique, the precision, that was exquisite.
"I would have liked to have seen a story through the moves, more desire, and it’s hard with that speed."
However Len sang Danny's praises, saying: "Normally I’m a punter for small intimate moments, but the clarity of movement throughout that dance, the fire and ice, the pain and passion, I was just swept away, I thought it was brilliant."
Rounding off the praise, Bruno said: "Danny’s on the boil with the raging passion of an Argentinian stallion.
"You can tell a story many different ways, that was an argument, every action caused a reaction.
"The sharp and cleanliness, it was a killer Argentine Tango."

Meanwhile Louise Redknapp was a close second to Danny with her American Smooth to Big Spender, scoring 37 points.
Len said: "You have a big fan over here, it’s a terrific dance to choreograph to, big spender, big attitude, I think you’re going to get a big score."
Bruno added: " Vamp it up Louise, you’re right on my page out there. Your leading lady diva moment.
"There was so much in this dance, I loved how you picked up all those accents, cheeky, naughty, sassy, sexy you’ve got it all baby."
Even Craig was impressed, saying: "My cork was well and truly popping darling.
"I loved the mix of ballroom and jazz. I thought it was confident, you’ve grown since the beginning of this competition."
At the other end of the score board, Ed Balls found himself at the bottom once again following his salsa routine to Gangnam Style.
After carrying out a series of lifts and pelvic thrusts, Ed was left out of breath and the four judges speechless.
Head judge Len Goodman said: “I don’t think there’s words in the dictionary to describe it.
“What I love is, there is always a senses of anticipation far more than any other couple when you’re coming out.
"I’ve got to say I enjoy watching you for your entertainment and this show, OK we’re the judges but we also watch it as normal human beings.
"I’m not sure you’re going to make it to Blackpool [next week] but if you don’t the show will lose a lot of fun."
