My inspiration comes from many places, but primarily from nature and the amazing energy contained therein
What kind of pottery does she make?
Kate says she is first and foremost a maker of "decorative objects".
She's known for her colourful, often nature-themed works, with shapes and textures inspired by fruits, vegetables and sea creatures.
Her "pebbled" earthenware and crystalline stoneware are among her most popular pieces.
She has said: “My inspiration comes from many places, but primarily from nature and the amazing energy that is contained therein.
"The sense of promise and regeneration that is contained in a fruit or a seed [is] magical.”
