Oscars 2017 In Memoriam tribute includes image of Australian film producer who is still alive
Jan Chapman says she was 'devastated' to see her photo in the montage — instead of her late pal Janet Patterson's

AN Australian film producer says she was "devastated" to see her own face in last night's Oscars In Memoriam segment, instead of a photo of her late friend.
The montage used a picture of Jan Chapman, 66, in its tribute to Janet Patterson, an Australian costumer designer who died last October.
In an email to Variety, Jan said: “I was devastated by the use of my image in place of my great friend and long-time collaborator Janet Patterson.
"I had urged [Janet's] agency to check any photograph which might be used and understand that they were told that the Academy had it covered.
"Janet was a great beauty and four-time Oscar nominee, and it is very disappointing that the error was not picked up.

The tribute identified Janet's name and profession correctly, but used a photo of Jan taken at a 2010 awards show in Sydney, where Janet had won best production design for the film Bright Star.
According to the , a photo agency had incorrectly identified Jan as Janet in the photo.
The mistake was the first of two major gaffes at this year's Oscars, with presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway awarding Best Picture to La La Land instead of Moonlight at the end of the show.
In an amusing twist, US comedian Billy Eichner joked on Twitter following the Best Picture blunder: "IF ANYONE FROM THE IN MEMORIUM IS STILL ALIVE PLEASE LET US KNOW."
