IT NEVER takes too long in Towie for a row to break out - and it appears Pete Wicks and Liam Gatsby get in the first explosive argument of the series.

While the team of ITVBe team have kept under wraps what exactly happens to start the spat, it appears Pete corners Liam after finding out about something that happened in Tenerife.

Approaching Gatsby by himself in a club as Georgia Kousoulou looks on, Pete told him: "I’ve just seen Megan, she’s upset again.

"If you want to start dropping s***, like you were in Tenerife, and start telling everyone you’re going to be ruthless and all this b*****ks..."

Gatsby then cuts him off and asked: "What are you talking about?," before accepting that's what he was tellling people and asking him to carry on.

Pete then said: "Right, because of what happened with you and Chloe, then you need to own it."

Gatbsy then tries to defend himself and added: "Okay well listen, I said to her…people were coming up to me!" , but Pete shuts him down and told him: "I was there, I was there!"

As things get more and more heated, Pete jibed: "So if you’re gonna jump around, like a f***ing clown...You're a clown. You're a f***ing clown mate."

Defensive Gatsby then demands that Pete get his hand out of his face, before the clip cuts off with Pete declaring: "What are you gonna do, Gatsby? What are you gonna do?"

It appears that this series is going to be far from plain sailing for Pete - as it was revealed that his on/off relationship with Megan McKenna has gone 'on a break'.

The pair first clued in to the fact they were on the rocks when they deleted each other off their social media accounts.

Pete then failed to turn up to an interview alongside Megan on This Morning a day later - and Megan admitted the couple "couldn't be together" to Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes.

She explained: "It's complicated at the moment with me and him.

“It's not the best time for us to be together.”

When asked how she would act if Pete was there, Megan said: “I'd be professional. Out of respect for each other we won't speak about each other.”

The news came after Megan told pal Amber Turner she and Pete had spent “80 per cent” of the past month rowing.

The pair were seen having a bust-up in Essex last month and have not been spotted together since.

Two months ago The Sun Online revealed the couple had a huge row at the National Television Awards.

In November, the couple had another very public spat after Megan saw Pete’s Ann Summers’ shoot.

Despite the rows, the couple have always managed to get through the tough times – including the sexting scandal which tore them apart.
