Popular singer reveals pals are already scouting songs for her potential Eurovision entry after epic London gigs
DELTA GOODREM is one step closer to representing Australia at Eurovision after she told our Jack it was one of her ambitions.
The Lost Without You singer, who is an Aussie, told us she had received a flurry of messages from producers and songwriters keen to work with her following our interview last week.
Delta, who is currently enjoying a break from her hectic schedule in London, said: “I have had a lot of people reach out to me after the story to ask me if we are doing this.
“Not just fans wanting to know but my industry friends have asked me if I’m serious and if they should be looking for a song or ideas.
“There’s no harm in looking for a song. So you never know. You never know where the music will take you in life.
"Where there is a stage and there’s great music you will see me grab my dancing shoes or grab my microphone. I loved watching all the talent and seeing everyone be creative.”

This year’s Australian entry, a song called Milkshake Man, failed to make it to the final.
But if they got Delta on board, we think she could go all the way.

WE’RE big fans of Megan Thee Stallion – and she’s certainly working this silver swimsuit from her new collection.
The Savage rapper has teamed up with US shop Walmart – think George at Asda for us Brits – for a new swimwear range she’s called Hot Girl Summer.

Meg wore a cut-open one-piece from the collection and posed on a Perspex sunlounger, which looks like it would rip the skin off your bum if you got up too fast.
Last month the Texan star released her new single Whenever and gave fans a taste of what’s to come on her upcoming record, Megan Act III.
She said: “Act III is being made. I’m really just trying to figure out who do I want to do features with at this point in life.
“I only want to do features with people that, one, I haven’t done a feature with yet, and two, that I listen to on my own time.
“People that I actually, you know, f*** with.”
On a Weekender
Festival season officially kicks off this weekend with Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool.
Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro and The Wombats will start proceedings tonight [Fri] while Sam Fender, Blossoms and Wolf Alice headline tomorrow.
Sunday will see Haim, Lola Young and Mumford And Sons close the event.
Natasha Beddingfield, Jorja Smith, Tom Odell, Self Esteem, Inhaler, Flo, Jade and Myles Smith are also lined up to perform.
If you haven’t managed to get tickets to the Big Weekend, Radio 1 are broadcasting live from Sefton Park across the entire weekend, with performances available to be streamed on demand on BBC iPlayer and on BBC Sounds.
And Breakfast host Greg James tells us he is planning on making full use of having Bank Holiday Monday off work.
Greg said: “Sunday night when we’ve introduced the headliner will be time for a big one.
“I’ve got the next morning off so we will be rolling around Liverpool somewhere into the early hours. Hopefully with the Haim sisters.
“Sam and Haim are absolutely amazing main stage bookings.
“The man of the moment, an artist championed by Radio 1, and with Haim, a band that our listeners adore.
“They are just brilliant chaos and totally in line with the spirit of Radio 1.”

Rhian’s put the boot in
Rhian Teasdale was on top form on the first night of Wet Leg’s UK tour.
The singer stomped around the stage at the O2 Academy in Birmingham in these funky strappy boots as she and bandmate Hester Chambers took their fans through a 16-song set list of tracks including Wet Dream and Ur Mum.
The duo also treated the crowd to new hits, including their latest single Catch These Fists which, I’m told, went down a storm with their fans.
Wet Leg play two back-to-back shows at London’s O2 Academy Brixton tonight and tomorrow before heading out across the UK for shows in Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester.
The Nineties are very much back today, with Robbie Williams releasing his new single Rocket, while ex-Eternal star Louise returns with her album Confessions.
Bizarre’s favourite boyband Dearalice are also back, this time with pop banger Sweet.
There are loads more new tracks to check out, including Calum Scott’s Die For You, Enemy by Talia Mar and Oh Ok by Sam Ryder.
Others worth giving a spin are rising US star Julia Wolf’s album Pressure, Brit singer Ashaine White’s EP Look What You Made Me Do and Renee Rapp’s Leave Me Alone, from her second album Bite Me, which is out on August 1.
Wedding is a bitch for Tony
When you’re as popular as Fat Tony, your friendship groups are always going to be eclectic.
But I’m told the guest list for the DJ’s wedding later this month is raising some eyebrows among the fashion elite, who are said to have been pretty snooty about some of the people who are set to attend the bash.
“Fat Tony’s wedding is like a who’s who of cool people,” my marital mole explains.
“You’ve got people like Kate Moss and Donatella Versace on the guest list, as well as Claire Sweeney and Tanya Bardsley.
“It is causing some bitchiness among the more well-heeled guests about who they’re going to be rubbing shoulders with.”
No doubt it’ll be handbags at dawn over at the buffet table.
It’s not just his showbiz pals Tom Cruise tries to keep sweet. His Mission: Impossible co-star Hayley Atwell has revealed he treated her nan to a ride in his chopper.
She told Amanda Holden on Heart Breakfast: “He gave my grandmother a lift in a helicopter on Christmas Eve at sunset a few years ago.”
Winner JJ in Israel ban call
Eurovision winner JJ has controversially called for due to the country’s conflict with Palestine.
The Austrian singer, who triumphed on Saturday night with his operatic song Wasted Love, said: “I’m very disappointed that they excluded Russia but kept Israel. They’re both aggressors in this case when it comes to war.
“The EBU (European Broadcasting Union) hasn’t done anything. If it were up to me, I would exclude them.”
JJ, above, added: “Maybe it will be more fair next year towards everyone and maybe the televotes will also be supervised properly.”
It won’t be an easy decision for the organisers, who have committed to a “wider discussion” about Israel’s participation at next year’s contest.
It’s all change for Leigh
Little Mix star Leigh-Anne had a string of singles and a sold-out UK tour last year – and now she is going even bigger and better with a new team behind her.
I’ve learned that she has landed a fresh deal with Virgin Music Group, leaving Warner Records, who she signed with in 2022.
An insider said: “Leigh-Anne was renegotiating her deal with Warner when Virgin made her an amazing offer which she couldn’t refuse.
“It’s a really exciting time and she’s been practically living in the studio this year.
“She has been taking her time, making sure everything is perfect, but it will only be a matter of weeks before fans hear what she’s been up to.”
As well as the new music, she has a string of shows lined up for this summer with appearances at Manchester Pride, Boardmasters in Cornwall and Mighty Hoopla Weekender in Malta.
Between her singles My Love, Stealin’ Love and Don’t Say Love – can you spot a theme? – she has now amassed over 50million streams on Spotify.
And I’m sure there are many more to come.
Charli XCX’s huge year is continuing after she was handed the prestigious Songwriter of the Year gong at the Ivor Novello Awards.
The Brat superstar was honoured alongside Robbie Williams, who picked up the Icon Award, and Lola Young – named as the Ivors’ Rising Star. It was also a special night for U2, who were given the highest honour – Fellowship of the Ivors Academy.
