I'M A Celebrity's Rita Simons has revealed she suffered a terrifying medical emergency hours before leaving the camp.
The actress was treated by doctors after she was struck down with low blood sugar.
The scare was not shown onscreen, but Rita, 41, opened up about the incident after being booted from the jungle camp tonight.
She revealed she suffers from hypoglycemia, and she fell ill last night when her blood sugar fell too low.
It can lead to symptoms including loss of consciousness, seizures and can even be fatal if not treated.
Rita said: "I'm hypoglycemic and last night had I to go out. I had a slight incident.
"But I saw a doctor and had a screening and I'm fine."
The news comes after Rita was ruled out of the last task on medical grounds.
A representative for the show told The Sun Online: "Rita was only away from the camp for a short period of time and rejoined the celebrities for dinner."
Tonight the former EastEnders star became the fourth celebrity to leave the show.
Fans have been voting to save their favourites and this time it was Rita, 41, who failed to make the cut.
Rita follows in the footsteps of former jungle leader Noel Edmonds and actor Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who were the first and second celebrities to get the boot.
Last night it was Coronation Street actress Sair Khan, 30, who was voted off, leaving just a handful of stars in the jungle camp.
It will soon be down to the final five and the winner will be decided on Sunday.
