JOHN Torode is engaged to Lisa Faulkner after surprising her with a festive proposal.
The MasterChef judge, 53, popped the question to his long-term girlfriend, 46, on Christmas Day with a large diamond flower-shaped ring.
Taking to Instagram today she shared: "My gorgeous John completely surprised me on Christmas Day and asked me to marry him!
"After waiting to tell our family when we got home we then had a few days just grinning at each other!!
"I'm so very happy to share our lovely news with you. Happy 2019 it’s going to be quite a year and I’m going to embrace every minute of it. All you need is love. Love is all you need."
Meanwhile, John took to his own Instagram account with a shorter but equally ecstatic message.
"And she said YES!!" he shared with a picture of Lisa next to a pool in a tropical location.
"Bloody love my Lisa.. Have put a ring on it."
The couple first met on Celebrity MasterChef and have been together since 2014.
She previously said: "Our relationship is as quiet and private as it can be when you both work in television.
“I’m really happy but we’re not living together because we’re taking things slowly.
"I believe life goes in ups and downs and at the moment it’s such a nice time.

Lisa is famous for playing Fi Browning on EastEnders in 2017 and is also a celebrity chef.
