Oscar nominee Olivia Colman reveals AA advert ‘cost her work’ after it ran for a year non-stop
Olivia is set to battle it out against Lady Gaga and Glenn Close at next month's Academy Awards - and is favourite to scoop the BAFTA

OLIVIA Colman has admitted her appearance in an advert for car insurance company AA caused her to lose out on high profile acting work.
The 2004 advert saw Olivia play a dual-role as two identical people called Bev - one who took out an AA loan to afford a chic car, while the other was driving around town in a banger.
Appearing on actor David Tennant's podcast, Olivia discussed her incredible career from humble car insurance beginnings to global awards success.
As David brings up the AA adverts, Olivia jokes: "AA! That has become the bane of my life... I thought they were going to run that for about a week but they ran it for what felt like four times a day for a year...
The esteemed actress went on to explain how she was paid a one-off fee for the advert rather than earning each time the comedic skit was broadcast.
She told Broadchurch co-star David: "It was really annoying. I lost some jobs."
Olivia also admits how she struggled with adjusting to her fame after starring in iconic TV series such as Peep Show, Broadchurch and The Night Manager.
The 44-year-old said: "I had to go and talk to someone about it...
"It's bullying every moment of every day when you're out, it's people nudging and pointing in your direction and talking about you."

Speaking about unwelcome public interactions, Olivia explained: "We are taught it's rude to stare - remember that phrase? - but I don't know if they think you can't feel it's happening?
But the actress was quick to stress that "99.9%" of people who she encounters are "really nice."
Bookies have Olivia on odds of 2/7 as favourite to win a BAFTA next month, but before that she will face off against Glenn Close and Lady Gaga for the Best Actress gong at the Academy Awards.
